What is the Booster Course Pass?
The Booster Course Pass is a downloadable content pack that expands Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with additional courses, characters, and racing suits. Nintendo released all content across six waves over the course of approximately 20 months, completing the pass in November 2023. No additional waves have been planned or released since.

Across all six waves, the Booster Course Pass adds:
- 48 remastered courses (8 per wave)

The courses are a mix of remastered tracks from previous Mario Kart games and new-to-the-series designs.

Course sources and mix
Across all six waves, the Booster Course Pass draws heavily from Mario Kart Tour (the free-to-play mobile game), giving those tracks a second appearance on console. The remainder source classic tracks from earlier Mario Kart generations spanning the Nintendo 64, GameCube (Double Dash), Wii, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, and 3DS eras. Six courses are entirely new to the Mario Kart series: Sky-High Sundae (Wave 2), Merry Mountain (Wave 3), Yoshi’s Island (Wave 4, inspired by the Super Mario World 2 game), Squeaky Clean Sprint (Wave 5), and Piranha Plant Cove (Wave 6).

The Booster Course Pass is included at no additional cost with an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription (available as an Individual or Family plan). Content access lasts for the duration of your membership.
