PS5 Pro
If you own a PS5 Pro, Madden 27 offers two additional performance tiers:
Performance Pro Mode: This is where Madden 27 reaches beyond 60 FPS. Performance Pro targets 100–120 FPS gameplay using Sony’s PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) upscaling technology, per EA’s feature documentation.
Visual Pro Mode: PS5 Pro’s maximum graphical mode, still at 60 FPS but with the highest visual quality the Pro hardware can deliver, per the same EA documentation — textures, lighting, stadium details and player models receive maximum detail.
How to switch modes
You do not need to restart the game. During gameplay, open the Pause Menu, navigate to Graphics, and toggle between your chosen modes. The game applies the change immediately without reloading.
Controller settings
DualSense vibration and adaptive trigger effects are enabled by default, giving you tactile feedback on tackles, throws, hits and receiver jostles. Both features enhance immersion and can help you feel the game’s rhythm.
If you find vibration or trigger resistance distracting or uncomfortable, you can disable them individually in the Accessibility Settings menu. Turning off either feature does not change gameplay—only the physical sensation you feel in your hands.

What the display ceiling changes
PS5 Pro’s Performance Pro mode only shows its 100–120 FPS benefit on a TV or monitor that supports 120 Hz or higher, per EA’s specification of the mode. If your display is limited to 60 Hz, every mode — standard or Pro — is capped at 60 FPS regardless of which one is selected.
Camera and gameplay customisation
