MintRocket’s Dave the Diver launched on Android and iOS on 17 September 2026 as a free download with a one-time purchase to unlock the full game. Here is what the live store listings show as of 22 September — device requirements, pricing, and file sizes now verified for both platforms.

What happened

The App Store and Google Play confirmed the 17 September launch date. Both platforms released the game worldwide as a free download with a paid unlock model. A Google Play listing exists under the package name com.mintrocket.drmobile; both store pages are now live with full specifications.

How the pricing works

The model is try-before-you-buy. Download is free, you play the opening, and a single in-app purchase unlocks the rest.

iOS (App Store): The Unlock Full Game purchase is US$7.99. A separate In the Jungle Content Pack costs US$4.99. The DREDGE crossover content is included at no extra cost. The Australian App Store lists the same purchases at AUD $12.99 (unlock) and AUD $7.99 (In the Jungle).

Android (Google Play): The full-game unlock is US$9.99. The In the Jungle DLC is US$4.99. DREDGE content is also included free.

Note the pricing difference: iOS is US$7.99 to unlock, Android is US$9.99 — a US$2.00 gap between the platforms. Both prices cover the complete game with no further purchases required for core content. Australian Android pricing was not available in press sources; check Google Play in your region for local pricing.

What is included

By day you dive a reef populated by more than 200 sea creatures; by night you run a sushi restaurant with what you caught, with minigames and side quests around both halves. It is the same premise as the PC original. The App Store rates it 13+.

The mobile version includes touch controls with an adjustable layout and uses the phone’s motion sensor for tea pouring in the restaurant. These are standard features of the mobile port.

Device notes

iOS: 3.7 GB download, requires iOS 15.0 or later. Also available on macOS 12.0 or later (M1 Mac or newer) and visionOS 1.0 or later. This is a fairly recent minimum (iOS 15 launched in 2021), so older iPhone models from before 2017 will not be supported. We cover the Apple version in detail in Dave the Diver on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Android: Requires Android 5.0 or later. Download size is approximately 3.3 GB depending on your device. Android 5.0 released in 2014, so this supports a much broader range of older devices compared to the iOS version. The Play Store listing is at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mintrocket.drmobile.

Why players care

Dave the Diver is a premium-length game arriving with a free front door, which is unusual on Android where the alternative is often a full-price download with no trial. Whatever the unlock lands at, you get to decide after playing the opening rather than before, and the listing shows no further purchases beyond the two named above. The mobile version includes zero ads and zero microtransactions once unlocked, meaning the purchase price is the complete cost of ownership.

Mobile controls and optimisation

The mobile port adds touch-specific features not present in the console versions. Adjustable touchscreen layouts let you rearrange on-screen buttons to suit your grip and hand size. Gyro tilt controls handle precise tea-pouring during restaurant service, using your device’s motion sensor. The game supports up to 60 frames per second and runs on a pixel-art aesthetic designed to minimise the load on older hardware, permitting broad device support within each platform’s minimum requirement.

The developers added a three-level view-distance option to balance visual quality with performance on lower-end devices, and fast-travel shortcuts across the Sea People’s Village reduce backtracking during later gameplay. These optimisations reflect a port strategy aimed at phones with varied processing power, not just flagship devices.

What is not included on mobile

The PC, console and Nintendo Switch 2 versions include two licensed crossover DLC packs: Godzilla and Like a Dragon. These collaboration DLCs are not released on iOS or Android. The DREDGE crossover is included on mobile; In the Jungle is available separately.

Knowing what is excluded clarifies the mobile scope. If you own Dave the Diver on another platform and consider a mobile copy, the absence of those two collaborations is the principal difference in content.

Mac and visionOS availability

Beyond iPhone and iPad, Dave the Diver also launched on macOS and Apple Vision Pro. The macOS version requires macOS 12 Monterey with an Apple M-series chip (M1 or newer). visionOS 1.0 or later on Vision Pro is supported. These launches expand access beyond traditional mobile, letting Mac and Vision Pro owners play without switching ecosystems.

Summary

Dave the Diver is now live on iOS, Android, macOS and visionOS. Pricing differs by platform (US$7.99 iOS, US$9.99 Android); device compatibility spans older iPhones and Android phones; and storage sits at 3.3–3.7 GB. The free opening lets you try before you buy. No ads or further purchases exist once you own it — the unlock price is the total spend. Mobile-exclusive controls and optimisations let you customise how you play on a phone.
