PS Plus Extra and Premium September 2026: Dates and the AU Caveat

Sony’s September additions to the PS Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog arrive in four drops, on 9, 15, 22 and 29 September 2026, headlined by RuneScape: Dragonwilds, WWE 2K26 and Slitterhead. As of 21 September two drops remain in the month, on 22 and 29 September. The line-up spans action, RPG, puzzle, stealth and dating simulation genres. For Australian members there is a catch: PlayStation Blog lists four of the eight titles as available in the US, the UK and Japan, and does not confirm them for other regions.

PlayStation Blog’s 9 September post, written by Adam Michel, lists the following Game Catalog additions:

Two Premium Classics are added as well: Mega Man X Command Mission, a future-themed RPG with over 50 missions for PS5 and PS4, and Metro Redux, a post-apocalyptic action title for PS4.

The regional note Australian members need to read

The same post marks Ball x Pit, Slitterhead, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound and Dungeons of Hinterberg as available in the US, the UK and Japan, and Sony adds that line-ups may differ by region and that members should check the PlayStation Store on release day. Australia is not named either way.

That means this article cannot promise those four titles will appear in the Australian catalogue on 22 and 29 September. The practical approach is to search the PS Store on the day and look for the PS Plus label on the game’s page. If it is absent, the title has not been added for your region. The other four games, Date Everything!, Dragonwilds, WWE 2K26 and Sniper Elite: Resistance, carry no such restriction in the post.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds

The 15 September catalogue date lines up with the game’s exit from early access. Jagex’s own news post confirms that Dragonwilds leaves early access with a full launch on 15 September 2026, so Extra and Premium members get the 1.0 release on day one rather than a work-in-progress build. This is the franchise’s inaugural console release, arriving on PS5 alongside PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X|S.

The game is a co-op survival crafting adventure. Players explore Ashenfall, an undiscovered continent within the RuneScape universe, and pursue the Dragon Queen whilst uncovering mysteries behind wild magic spreading across fractured land. Core gameplay involves spell-casting for both combat and practical applications, gear crafting, potion preparation, and encounters with classic RuneScape creatures and new enemies including the Garou. The full 1.0 launch includes the Scorned Wilderness update and all content from the Umbral Sands expansion.

WWE 2K26

PlayStation Blog describes WWE 2K26 as carrying a roster of more than 400 playable wrestlers, including The Rock, Triple H, and John Cena. The title features a CM Punk-focused Showcase mode. As a current-year annual title, it is the largest mainstream addition of the month and one of the two 15 September titles confirmed without a regional note.

Date Everything!

PlayStation Blog lists this dating simulator as the month’s first addition, available on 9 September in the US and UK and 10 September in Japan. The game’s premise involves wearing magical glasses to date household objects as lovers, friends or enemies. It carries no regional restriction note, so Australian members should see it on their catalogue on 9 September.

Ball x Pit

Arriving on 22 September, this fantasy roguelite puts players in monster-filled ruins where they navigate using magical projectiles in fast-paced gameplay. PlayStation Blog flags it as available in the US, the UK and Japan, so Australian availability remains unconfirmed on release day; check the PlayStation Store to verify.

Slitterhead

Bokeh Game Studio’s 2024 battle action-adventure arrives on 22 September in PS5 and PS4 versions. The game is set in a neon-lit cityscape where players battle shape-shifting monsters. It is one of the four titles flagged as US, UK and Japan, so Australian members should check the store on the day before planning around it.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound

On 29 September, this action adventure title joins the catalogue in PS5 and PS4 versions. It blends classic and modern Ninja Gaiden gameplay. PlayStation Blog does not flag it with a regional restriction, so Australian members should see it on the month’s final drop.

Dungeons of Hinterberg

Also arriving on 29 September for PS5 and PS4, this puzzle-adventure combines exploration, puzzles and relationship-building mechanics. Like Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, it carries no regional note in the PlayStation Blog post, so it should be available to Australian members on that date.

Sniper Elite: Resistance, twice

Sniper Elite: Resistance is already a September Essential game, claimable until 5 October, and it also joins the Game Catalog on 29 September. The game is a stealth and tactical shooter with full campaign co-op support. Claiming it now through the Essential line-up means you do not need to wait until the end of the month, whichever tier you are on.

Premium Classics

Premium members get Mega Man X Command Mission, offered in PS5 and PS4 versions, and Metro Redux as a PS4 title. Both are listed under Classics in the post, so they are Premium-tier additions rather than Extra.

What was not in the post

Sony did not include a list of games leaving the catalogue in this update. If you are part-way through something on Extra or Premium, there is no published removal warning for September, so treat the current library as stable only until Sony says otherwise.

What comes next
