Where we are today
ReviewGamers currently earns nothing. We are not a member of any affiliate programme, we have not applied to one, and no link on this site pays us. We would rather say that plainly than imply a commercial relationship we do not have.
You will still see an affiliate disclosure on our pages. That is deliberate: it states the standing policy that governs links here, so the rule is published before any money exists rather than after.
How we intend to be funded
Affiliate commission on hardware and accessories, paid by the retailer out of their margin. It costs you nothing extra and it does not change the price you pay.
If and when we join a programme, a link only becomes a paid link once that programme is approved and the relationship is recorded. Until then our publishing system renders a retailer as plain text rather than as a tracked link — it is not able to emit a commercial link for a programme we are not in.
What money is not allowed to do
- No one can pay for coverage, a placement, a ranking position or a verdict.
- We do not accept sponsored reviews.
- A commission rate cannot influence a verdict. In our data model a verdict references its evidence and nothing else — there is no field a commission rate could occupy.
- Commission never changes an evidence tier. The tier is derived from the evidence behind the claims on the page.
- We do not accept payment for placement in a comparison table.
What we will not do
- Gambling, loot-box or real-money-trading affiliate deals, at any commission.
- Key-reseller programmes we cannot vouch for.
- Paid links disguised as editorial recommendations.
Australian context
ReviewGamers is an Australian publication. Before we earn affiliate income we will hold an ABN and publish our business details. Prices are quoted in Australian dollars, and nothing on this page affects your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
